Privacy Policy

How RilaCam handles photos, videos, location, purchases, and device permissions.

Last updated: September 13, 2026繁體中文

This policy applies to the RilaCam iPhone app, a retro digital camera offering photo and video capture, filters, and stamps. No RilaCam account is required.

Our approach

Photos and videos are processed on your device. RilaCam does not upload your captured media to developer-operated servers, and it does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs.

Some features use network services provided by Apple, including purchases, place-name lookup, and iCloud Photos when enabled in your settings.

Camera, microphone, and photos

Camera access enables the viewfinder, photo capture, and video recording. Microphone access records sound with videos. Filters, stamps, and media output are processed on your device.

Photo library access saves your work to Apple Photos. Reading your work in the app or completing deferred photo processing on certain cameras requires photo read permission. You can select limited or full access where iOS offers these choices. The app stores local asset identifiers to display media saved through RilaCam.

When saving originals is enabled, originals and filtered results are saved separately. Certain camera workflows first save an intermediate original to the system photo library. That original may remain in Apple Photos even when the save-original option is disabled.

If you use iCloud Photos, Apple may sync your media according to your settings. Reading photos or playing videos can also download media from iCloud through Apple Photos. These actions do not send your media to the RilaCam developer.

Location

Location features are off by default. The app requests location access while in use only when you enable them. Declining location permission does not prevent ordinary capture.

Location can be added to photo or video metadata and used for country, city, or district stamps that you select. Place-name lookup uses Apple’s geocoding service, which may send coordinates to Apple. RilaCam does not send location to developer-operated servers.

You may disable location in the app or change its permission in iOS Settings. This does not remove location metadata or visible place stamps from media already saved. Review your media before sharing if you do not want to disclose its location.

Purchases and local preferences

Paid filters are offered as in-app purchases through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes payments; RilaCam does not receive your credit card details or other full payment information. The app uses transaction and entitlement information from Apple StoreKit to verify filter access, receive transaction updates, and restore purchases.

Camera preferences, per-filter intensity, app language, and saved media identifiers are stored locally. They are not sent to developer-operated servers. Device backups are controlled by your iOS and iCloud settings.

Retention and controls

You can manage camera, microphone, photo, and location permissions in iOS Settings. Disabling permission can affect the corresponding feature.

Manage or delete saved media in Apple Photos. Deleting RilaCam does not delete media already in your system photo library. Deleting the app removes its local app data, while system backups, iCloud Photos, and Apple purchase records remain subject to their respective settings and policies. Restoring a backup or reinstalling may restore some data or purchase entitlements.

RilaCam has no user account system or developer-hosted media database, so there is no RilaCam account or developer-held media copy to request deletion of.

Apple services and this website

Apple may process information related to purchases, geocoding, system diagnostics, backups, or iCloud Photos according to its services and your settings. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

This product website does not add analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies, and does not load third-party fonts. It stores your language choice locally in your browser to remember it for future visits; you can remove it by clearing this site’s data. When you first open the home page without a saved choice, the site reads your browser’s preferred languages to select English or Traditional Chinese. It does not use your IP address or location for this selection. Language preferences are not sent to developer-operated servers. The hosting provider may still process IP addresses, browser details, and server access logs to serve the website.

Changes

We may update this policy when app features or data practices change. The current policy and revision date will be published on this page.
